FRIGGIERI - Malta The Stemmi Maltesi was published in the 19th
century and contained the arms of almost 800 Maltese families. The original drawings
were produced in black and white. A copy of this source document can be
viewed at the National Library of Malta in Valletta. In 1989 (reprinted 1996), Charles A. Gauci published 'An
Illustrated Collection of the Coats of Arms of Maltese Families' which
took the originals from the Stemmi Maltesi and added colours. The image shown here was provided by Maltese genealogist
Joe Borg and corresponds with the entry in Gauci's book. |
