The Chilean Connection
In May
2000, I was contacted by Daniella Frigerio Arizpe. She was trying to obtain
Italian nationality and the authorities required her to produce the birth
certificate of her Italian ancestor. At that time, she believed that her
great-grandfather (visabuelo) was named Santiago Frigerio Ciosette and
that he was born in Montorfano, Provincia di Como in 1857. In April 2001, I received
an email from Doctor Santiago Alejandro Frigerio Rojas (Daniella's uncle) who
informed me that the correct surname was actually Civatti and that he was born
circa 1864.
Please
